Stick to you goals! Create more achievable targets!

As we whizz through January I am guessing many people are struggling to keep to their New Year Resolutions! I always start with good intentions, then life and work take over, and I feel like a failure! Did you know on average each year 80 % of people break their resolutions!

 

This year I decided to make little plans for change to try and stay positive and not feel like a failure.  One negative trait of mine is always looking ahead, making future plans, discussing what is happening next year… it apparently drives everyone mad! So promise one for 2025…. Try and live in the present more.  This is the one I need to really try on!

 



I then decided that for 2025, I want to have mini challenges to keep me motivated.  So I have set challenges for each month! Here are a few…

 

January – no alcohol

February – run a half marathon

March – no take aways

May – no chocolate

June – run 100miles in the month

 

There is nothing major here for me, but all are little goals which I believe will make me feel better.

 

So our challenge for YOU is…. Don’t feel bad if you have not kept any promises to yourself.  Every month, look at where you are, how you feel, and think of just one thing you could change to make you feel better inside and out! It could be a nutrition target, taking up a new sport, hitting your 10,000 steps daily, or meditating every night!



 

Life is about balance, and allowing yourself to have good and bad days.  Balance is the key to a fit and healthy lifestyle so I hope you can find yours!
